Job Purpose The Summer Intern with LP is designed to identify future leaders and offer them a valuable, challenging, and rewarding opportunity with LP Building Solutions. This program is designed to provide an internship to talented students and to help them grow and develop in their career path. The future leaders will be introduced to the career paths that LP has to offer. In this position you will have the opportunity to: Our mills area of focus for Summer Interns are degrees in the area of Safety, Project Management, Quality Control, Environmental Science, Logistics or Operational functions and the Trades. Some highlights include: Approximately 12-week program (flexible start and end dates based on your school schedule) Wage of $25/hour ($1,000 week) Housing allowance of $500/month Leadership and cross-functional learning opportunities Assigned mentor focused on your growth and development Possible full-time career opportunities What do I need to be successful? You'd be a great fit for LP if you... Are enrolled in accredited college or university with at least 4 semesters of completed schoolwork. Can think and act like an owner. Have the abilities to work both independently with minimal supervision and work in a team environment. Can understand and comply with safety and environmental rules and regulations. Are innovative and possess critical thinking skills with the ability to operate strategically. Are high energy, self-motivated, ambitious, and looking for a great experience. Can develop presentations and present to a panel project outcome. Are interested in gaining management experience in a manufacturing operation. Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and relationship building skills. Exhibit time management skills. Have a positive attitude! Education Are enrolled in accredited college, university, or technical college with at least 4 semesters of completed schoolwork.
