Requirements: Were looking for an engineer with good knowledge and experience deploying, upgrading, and updating operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.You can resolve ICT systems issues from triaged help desk tickets and assist with second- and some third-line technical issues.You have good knowledge of patch management and deployment, such as WSUS.You have proficient knowledge of virtualisation on Windows platforms, especially VMware ESXi.You are proficient in following ITIL standards and processes.Ideally, you have knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Active Directory, DFS, Internet Protocol, and software deployment via Group Policy.Some understanding of Unix, Linux, or Red Hat is desirable.You are willing to work as part of an integrated, multi-technology team and can adhere to the constraints of working on highly classified defence platforms.You will be required to obtain Developed Vetting security clearance for this role. Responsibilities: Install, configure, test, and maintain Microsoft and VMware operating systems, application software, and system management tools.Troubleshoot and resolve reported help desk issues.Help ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure.Contribute to software asset management.Follow version control procedures when deploying system changes, and produce and update documentation, from high-level checklists to detailed technical build and installation instructions.Attend and contribute to meetings that approve system changes to operational and development platforms. Were recruiting an ICT Systems Engineer for an onsite role in Corsham, Wiltshire (SN13), with occasional travel within and outside the UK. The salary is £37,500–£47,500.
