About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Therapist to join the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Systemic Family Therapy Service.

The Systemic Family Therapy Service are looking to recruit a highly skilled individual to join their team and work collaboratively with them to develop and deliver services that address the complex psychological and psychosocial needs of the clients and their families/carers enabling the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery and development of Systemic Family Therapy in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

We welcome enquires from Systemic Family Therapists nearing completion of their training.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for providing a qualified specialist systemic family therapy service to clients, and their families.

Consultation work advising staff of other disciplines on the systemic aspects of casework and patient management plans.

To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and many complex factors that have shaped the individual, family or group.

Co lead on the development of Family Therapy

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Knowledge Essential

Post graduate MSc in Systemic family therapy, in line with requirements of AFT.

Desirable

Clinical supervisor qualification /training/ accreditation or relevant experience.

Experience Essential

Experience of providing specialist Systemic family therapy assessment and treatment for clients across the full range of care settings,

Desirable

Ability to reflect on and critically appraise own performance and develop new methods of working.
