Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Midwife to join the Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services (MMPS) Nursing Team on a 12-month fixed-term/secondment basis. Working within a well-established Trust-wide team, you will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of medicines management, patient safety, quality improvement and education initiatives that have a direct impact on patient care across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The role is Trust-wide and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with ward teams, matrons, senior nurses, pharmacists and other multidisciplinary colleagues to implement and embed improvements in clinical practice.

What you will bring to the role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Midwife who is keen to develop their skills in project delivery, quality improvement and medicines management. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience working in a clinical environment at Band 5 level or above. An interest in medicines management, patient safety and improving clinical practice. Experience of delivering or supporting education and training for healthcare staff. Knowledge of clinical audit processes and an ability to support service improvement initiatives. Confidence in presenting information and engaging with a range of staff groups. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider team. Effective IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications. A flexible and proactive approach to supporting change across clinical services.
