Care Coordinator Remote | Healthcare Patient Support Services About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Care Coordinator to support patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and payers throughout the treatment journey. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact, helping coordinate benefits, insurance coverage, prior authorizations, affordability programs, product orders, and appointment scheduling to ensure patients receive timely access to prescribed therapies.This position is ideal for candidates with Patient Support Program (PSP), HUB, healthcare customer service, insurance verification, reimbursement, or benefits coordination experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient support. Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, caregivers, specialty pharmacies, and insurance payers. • Coordinate patient access to prescribed therapies through benefits verification, prior authorization support, appeals assistance, and reimbursement coordination. • Educate patients and providers regarding program eligibility, enrollment requirements, affordability assistance, and available support services. • Build strong relationships with patients and healthcare provider offices while delivering outstanding customer service. • Navigate insurance-related challenges and collaborate with payers to facilitate coverage and access to care. • Handle inbound and outbound calls while documenting interactions accurately in CRM systems. • Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, internal teams, and client partners. • Escalate complex cases according to established SOPs and program guidelines. • Identify and report adverse events, product complaints, or safety-related information in accordance with pharmacovigilance requirements. • Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and company policies. • Partner with internal teams to promote positive patient outcomes and improve overall program effectiveness. • Manage multiple priorities while meeting productivity, quality, and service expectations. Required Qualifications Education & Experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of healthcare reimbursement, insurance verification, healthcare billing, physician office, or health insurance experience preferred. • OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related healthcare reimbursement, insurance, billing, patient support, or benefits coordination experience. • Previous Call Center, HUB Services, Patient Support Program, or healthcare customer service experience required. • Strong understanding of: • Insurance verification • Prior authorizations • Appeals processes • Commercial and government insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD) • Medical and pharmacy benefit terminology
Technology Requirements Candidates should be comfortable working in a technology-driven environment and must have experience using:
• CRM systems • Multi-line phone systems • Multiple applications simultaneously • Dual monitors and multi-screen navigation • Microsoft Office Suite Reliable high-speed internet is required to support remote work responsibilities. Preferred Skills

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
