Job description: Enterprise Java Developer Thoriva · Remote · Full-Time Thoriva, an Infinite Company, is seeking an Enterprise Java Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications supporting mission-critical business operations. This role will focus on modern Java development, cloud-native architectures, API development, system integrations, and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, relational databases, and modern DevOps practices. Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, government, lending, or healthcare is highly desirable. The candidate should be comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with architects, business analysts, testers, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. JOB SUMMARY As an Enterprise Java Developer, you will design, develop, and test Java based enterprise applications and APIs. You will be an AI First developer who works the full lifecycle of application development. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.

• Participate in modernization initiatives that migrate legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.

• Develop integrations with enterprise platforms, databases, third-party services, and internal systems.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Support application deployments, release activities, and production issue resolution.

• Participate in code reviews and enforce secure coding and development standards.

• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests to improve software quality and reliability.

• Assist with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps automation initiatives.

• Leverage approved AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code quality.

• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

• Actively evaluate and adopt approved AI-assisted engineering tools and practices to improve developer productivity, accelerate modernization initiatives, enhance test automation, reduce technical debt, and support continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.

• Strong experience with:

• Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred)

• Spring Boot

• Spring Security

• Spring Batch

• RESTful APIs

• Microservices Architecture

• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

• Experience with:

• Git and GitLab

• CI/CD pipelines

• REST API testing using Postman or similar tools

• JSON, XML, and web service integrations

• Application monitoring and logging platforms

• Experience with JIRA and Agile work board management.

• Docker

• Kubernetes/OpenShift

• Agile/Scrum delivery models.

• Ability to obtain US Government Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying applications to AWS.

• Experience with cloud-native design patterns and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Kafka, or message-oriented middleware.

• Experience with OAuth2, JWT authentication, and API security.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Harness, or modern deployment tooling.

• Experience supporting high-volume transactional systems.

• Experience in financial services, banking, lending, education finance, or government-regulated environments.

• Exposure to modernization initiatives involving legacy platform integration or migration efforts.

• Experience integrating custom-developed applications with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions.

• Experience diagnosing production incidents and identifying root causes using enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools
