Job summary Cygnet Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant / Maintenance Operative to join our team at The Old Vicarage. In this important role, you'll help ensure our hospital remains safe, secure and well maintained, creating the best possible environment for the people in our care, our colleagues and visitors.

From carrying out repairs and routine maintenance to helping maintain a high-quality healthcare environment, you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital and contributing to positive patient experiences.
Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday only, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance with no weekend working.
Choose from either an 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm shift pattern, providing consistency and flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Your day-to-day...
Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair serviceCarry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building workMaintain plant, services & vehicles in working orderComply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazardsTravel to other sites & on-occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hoursCheck the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights
You are...
Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environmentsWilling to travel & hold a full valid driving licenceAble to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance informationSkilled at DIY & general maintenancePreferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/MaintenanceFriendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude
