Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a non medical prescriber (RMN) who is keen to support to the CYPS Crisis Intervention Service within the children and young person's service (ages 6-18years).
This role will be at Band 7 with the opportunity to develop to a Band 8a following successful completion of the required training and competencies.
The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and Service Manager.
We welcome applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses with experience working with Children and Young People.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must have experience in the assessment and treatment of children & young people (CYP), providing high quality, evidence-based Crisis Intervention care and treatment to young people with moderate to severe emotional and mental health problems and undertake the V300 Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescribing modules.
To provide timely assessment of CYP who are referred to the Crisis Intervention Service and provide care planning and support for their pharmacological and treatment plans. To provide support, advice and education to Mindworks Hubs and other Services.

Experience Essential
Experience of working with children/young people in mental health crisis within the community Experience in the assessment and treatment of children & young people (CYP) Significant post graduate children and young people's mental health experience. Experience undertaking mental health assessments, risk formulations, crisis and contingency planning and use of outcome measures
Desirable
Knowledge and awareness of safeguarding procedures Experience of working with other agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team
