Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiology Department at the Royal Surrey Hospital for a Specialty Doctor.
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed clinician to join our dynamic cardiology team, working closely with colleagues across Acute Medicine, Oncology, Intensive Care and other medical specialties, including Elderly Care, where demand for cardiology input continues to grow.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will contribute to inpatient and outpatient care, support activity within the cardiac catheter laboratories at Royal Surrey NHS Trust, and play an active role in the ongoing strategic development of our cardiology services. Responsibilities will include participation in outpatient clinics, the registrar rota and provision of specialist expertise to the urgent and emergency care pathway. The post holder will join an established team of seven Consultants, one Associate Specialist, two SpRs, two IMT's, 1 SHO and 3 FY1's.

Qualifications Essential
Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC MBBS or equivalent MRCP or equivalent
Desirable
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for GIM
Experience Essential
4 years post graduate training/experience with at least 2 years in Cardiology or a relevant specialty Understand the principals of Clinical Governance Evidence of experience of / commitment to audit and improving clinical practice/service development
