Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the established Clinical Administration Team at St Richards Hospice.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and compassionate individual to provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our services and play an important role in supporting patient care.
Working alongside a range of hospice professionals, administrators help coordinate information, manage referrals, maintain accurate records and act as key points of contact for patients, families, carers and external professionals.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a busy environment, manage competing priorities, demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain confidentiality at all times.
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Integrated Community Services Team, helping to ensure the effective delivery of community-based hospice services. Responsibilities will include managing referrals, coordinating clinical information, supporting team processes, maintaining records and responding to enquiries from patients, families and healthcare professionals.
This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Main duties of the job
The role will require a flexible individual with good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills who can manage conflicting demands on their time. The post holder will have prior administrative experience and will bring a professional and steadfast approach to the role. At St Richards, were all united in a common goal: providing the very best care for patients, the people close to them, and carers.
The post holder will also be required to provide weekend cover for the Hospice Inpatient Unit on a rota basis, approximately once every six weeks. This will include sharing Bank Holiday cover equitably with colleagues. Enhanced rates of pay apply for weekend and Bank Holiday working.
