Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Team at Derbyshire County Council. You will play a key role in improving population health and reducing health inequalities across Derbyshire. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional with excellent communication skills and expertise in applying epidemiological and statistical methods. You will help shape public health priorities and decision-making by providing evidence on population health needs, trends and inequalities.
Main duties of the job
The post is focused on epidemiology, statistical methods and economic evaluation. You will lead and contribute to significant epidemiological, research and evaluation workstreams, provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and work collaboratively with partners to improve outcomes for the people of Derbyshire.

Qualifications Essential
Degree or equivalent qualification with significant numerical or statistical content
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification in public health, epidemiology, statistics or related subject.
