Job summary
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with specialist knowledge and experience in eating disorder services, with an interest in clinical leadership and service development?
The Waterlily Inpatient Prevention Programme is an innovative virtual eating disorder service providing specialist, recovery-focused support to adults with a diagnosis of anorexia nervosa. The service works collaboratively across the provider collaborative, supporting patients across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The Waterlily team is a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Assistant Psychologists, Dietitians, Health Care Support Workers and Peer Support Workers. The team works collaboratively to provide holistic, recovery-focused care, drawing on a range of professional expertise and lived experience to support individuals throughout their treatment journey.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical and operational leadership within the Waterlily Inpatient Prevention Programme, ensuring safe, effective, high-quality, person-centred care. Working with multidisciplinary and regional teams, they will support service delivery and development.
Clinical Leadership: Provide expert leadership and clinical oversight of assessment, formulation, risk management, treatment planning and evidence-based interventions. Support the team with complex cases and clinical decision-making. Promote recovery-focused, person-centred care, involving patients and carers in planning and decision-making. Ensure access to supervision, reflective practice and professional development. Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents and appropriate escalation.
Operational Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership, ensuring effective service delivery and resource management. Line manage staff, including supervision, appraisal, performance and development. Support communication, workload management, workforce planning, recruitment and retention. Develop partnerships with eating disorder services and provider collaborative organisations, representing Waterlily at relevant forums. Lead service evaluation and improvement, using audit, data and feedback to inform development. Promote clinical governance, quality, safety and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with legislation, professional standards, Trust policies and clinical guidance.
