About this role

Job summary

The Datix Administrator is a key member of the Quality Governance team, responsible for ensuring the Trust's Datix risk management system operates effectively and supports patient safety, risk management, incident reporting, and governance processes across the organisation.

The post holder acts as the primary point of contact for system users, providing technical support, training, data reporting, and system administration while working closely with Risk Managers, Governance Leads, IT Services, and RLDatix.

The ideal applicant would have a mixture of skills and experience in system administration, data analysis, customer service and NHS services.

Main duties of the job

Administrate and maintain the Trust's Risk Management software to ensure suitability for purpose

Provide first-line IT and functional support to the Trust's Risk Management software users so that they can effectively and efficiently operate the system and overcome problems that may arise.

Provide comprehensive user support and advice on a day-to-day basis to staff

PROFESSIONAL / MANAGERIAL / SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE Essential

Previous experience in administrating a technical IT system (e.g. managing access for users, making changes to technical systems as needs change)

Educated to A Level standard

KNOWLEDGE & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE Essential

Previous experience of administrating a technical IT system Experience in reporting data analysis findings in an accessible and insightful manner Experience in a customer-service facing position, resolving user queries Experience providing information, guidance and training to users
