Help shape communications at one of the UKs largest NHS teaching hospitals
We're looking for an experienced communications professional to join our corporate communications team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Working at the heart of the organisation, you'll be involved in a wide range of communications activity, from leading colleague engagement campaigns and managing media enquiries to supporting major programmes of work and creating content across digital channels.
It's a role for someone who enjoys variety and wants to play a key role in how we communicate with our colleagues, patients, partners and communities.
The role will be based in our Trust HQ at St James's University Hospital, Leeds.
Main duties of the job
What you'll be doing
Leading internal communications and engagement activity that helps colleagues feel informed and supported.Creating compelling content for use on a multitude of platforms, including digital and print, helping us reach and engage diverse audiencesMaintaining and developing our corporate websites, including the colleague intranet, so it remains accurate, accessible and user-friendlyKeeping stakeholders updated on key developments in a timely and effective waySupporting communication around a wide range of media enquiries.Turning complex information into clear, accessible and engaging content for colleagues, patients, families and partners

What you will bring to the role
Youll have broad communications experience and a passion for delivering high quality work. Youll be an excellent writer with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to adapt your style for different audiences. Youll also be a confident relationship builder who can offer thoughtful, proactive advice to teams across the Trust.
Were particularly looking for someone with strong internal communications experience and skills to support our Womens and neonatal services, and with an interest in the many different ways and platforms we can use to reach our audiences. Youll play an important role in a team that leads communications for the Trusts programme to improve maternity and neonatal services, working to ensure our approach is open, clear and compassionate.
