Main duties of the job
Are you an experienced Band 5 Trauma Orthopaedic nurse ready for the next steps in your nursing career, or are you an experienced Band 6 nurse seeking a new and exciting opportunity?
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Band 6 to join our existing team and help develop further our service.
The post will be based on the Northwick Park Hospital site and the roles' key focus will be:
To act as deputy to the Clinical Nurse Manager as required. To lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care. To create an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and empowers staff to develop high levels of clinical skills and autonomy. Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. Being a pro active member of the nursing team attending consultant ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and ward / divisional meetings influencing decisions and the direction of nursing being an advocate for patients and staff.
