Job Description Salary Starting at $20.20/hour $15.00 per diem for mileage Shifts and Hours 3 hours per day (typically half AM and half PM, with occasional 30-minute lunch coverage) Monday to Friday Contract runs September to June Reports to Program Manager – School Safety Zone Purpose The Team Lead position will provide necessary duties in “ the field ” at intersections and routes throughout Brockville, supporting the Adult Crossing Guard (ACG) program within operational school hours. Core Competencies · Strong Customer Service Skills · Communication – verbal and written · Computer proficiency (including email) · Ability to work as part of a team and stay in regular communication with the office staff · Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor · Adaptability/ flexibility · Decision making and judgement · Planning and organizing · Problem solving · Accountability and dependability Duties and Responsibilities · Conduct all duties and responsibilities of an Adult Crossing Guard when required. · Provide on-site and remote support to teams in Brockville, address urgent needs, and support staffing or training initiatives · Visit specific sites as requested by the Office. · Effectively communicate with Adult Crossing Guards by answering questions, listen and address concerns, building rapport, etc. · Training and coaching new Adult Crossing Guards. · Reporting Crossing Guard absenteeism/performance issues to the Program Manager · Distribution & Retrieval of Equipment · Dispersal of rewards and incentives to the Adult Crossing Guards. · Acting in the role of Adult Crossing Guard to cover open shifts. · Comply with all safety requirements and wear all required equipment (provided) · Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
