Fiber Technician / Data Center Cabling Technician Position Overview We are seeking experienced Fiber Technicians to support data center construction and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience installing and testing fiber optic cabling in large-scale data center environments. The technician will be responsible for structured cabling installations, fiber terminations, cable routing, testing, documentation, and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards on-site. • Hands-on experience with Fiber Installation • Experience supporting Data Center Construction projects • Knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems Key Responsibilities Fiber Installation & Cabling
• Install, route, dress, label, and secure single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) fiber optic cabling. • Install fiber trays, ladder racks, cable pathways, and support systems. • Perform rack-and-stack activities within data center environments. • Execute fiber optic cable pulls while maintaining proper bend radius and cable management standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, cable schedules, network diagrams, and project documentation. Technical Responsibilities
• Perform fiber splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. • Utilize testing equipment including: • OTDR • Power Meters • Visual Fault Locators (VFL)
• Identify and resolve fiber network issues. • Verify labeling, documentation, and installation quality meet project specifications. • Ensure all installations comply with customer and industry standards. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
