Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob DescriptionThis role focuses on accurately picking, packing, receiving, and moving merchandise within a busy distribution warehouse that supports ecommerce operations. You will use warehouse management tools, powered material handling equipment, and RF scanners to ensure orders are processed efficiently, safely, and with a high level of accuracy. Responsibilities • Accurately pick and pack customer orders by following established work practices and warehouse procedures. • Restock picking bins with product from reserve storage based on warehouse management system reports. • Sort, count, and receive all incoming merchandise with a high level of accuracy. • Move product to and from pallet racks using powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. • Work with conveyor systems to build pallets of cartons for outbound shipments. • Load and unload trucks, ensuring product is properly sorted, labeled, and staged as needed. • Organize warehouse storage space to maximize efficiency and maintain orderly inventory locations. • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times. • Use RF scanners/hand scanners to receive direction for picking, packing, receiving, and moving inventory. • Use sortation walls and conveyor systems to complete daily warehouse tasks. • Meet or exceed established safety, productivity, and quality standards. • Demonstrate flexibility by taking on a variety of general warehouse tasks and additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills • Experience with picking and order selection in a warehouse or distribution environment. • Ability to accurately pick, pack, sort, and count merchandise. • Comfort using RF scanners/hand scanners to perform picking, packing, receiving, and moving tasks. • Ability to operate or learn to operate powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. • Capability to work with conveyor systems and sortation walls to process orders. • Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling. • Ability to meet safety, productivity, and quality standards consistently. • Willingness to perform a variety of warehouse tasks and adapt to changing priorities. • Reliability to work a consistent schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial. • Comfort working in an ecommerce-focused distribution environment. • Ability to organize storage space effectively and maintain a tidy work area. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a distribution warehouse that supports ecommerce operations. The facility is not climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons, but fans are in place to help with airflow and comfort. You will regularly work around pallet racks, conveyors, sortation walls, and powered material handling equipment. The role follows a consistent schedule of 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a daytime shift in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment where maintaining a clean and orderly workspace is expected. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chambersburg, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
