About this role

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electronics and manufacturing equipment, including PLC controllers, ovens, conveyors, and related systems. This role installs and commissions new equipment, inspects existing machinery, and implements improvements to enhance efficiency while consistently following safety, quality, and operational standards.Work Environment

• The facility operates a rotating schedule with openings on both day and night shifts: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for days and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for nights, following a 2-on, 3-off, 3-on, 2-off pattern, resulting in approximately 15 working days per month and every other weekend off. • Night shifts receive an additional shift premium. • The site is a large manufacturing facility of approximately 300,000 square feet with around 350 employees, producing carpet, interiors, wheel well products, and related components for the automotive industry Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment such as felt lines, molding equipment, presses, robotics (including ABB robots), and water jets. • Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems, including diagnosing issues through electrical panels and cabinets. • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, particularly those used in presses. • Set up, install, and commission new equipment to support facility upgrades and production improvements. • Troubleshoot and maintain motors, sensors, photo eyes, switches, proximity switches, and color sensors. • Maintain and troubleshoot junction boxes and terminal switches to ensure safe and reliable operation. • Perform facilities maintenance tasks such as lighting repairs and other building-related maintenance as required. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to support maintenance and repair activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Siemens PLCs. • Welding and fabrication experience. • Ability to operate a manual mill and/or lathe. • Experience working with robotics, particularly ABB robots. • Familiarity with industrial equipment such as presses, compressors, felt lines, and blending lines. • Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety in all maintenance activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Norwalk, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
