Job Title: Maintenance MillwrightJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Millwright with experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in ARC/MIG techniques. The ideal candidate should be proficient in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as manual and laser alignment. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery related to the unloading, loading, transfer, and storage of cargo, including conveying equipment, pulleys, gearboxes, drag conveyors, structures, hydraulics, ship loader, stacker reclaimer, and various support equipment. • Perform mechanical troubleshooting on industrial machinery. • Read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, and engineering drawings. • Use and understand precision measuring devices including gauges, displays, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, alignment tools, levels, and torque tools. • Communicate thoughts and ideas effectively in both verbal and written form. Essential Skills • Advanced knowledge in millwright duties. • Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques (ARC, MIG). • Proficient in hydraulic/pneumatic principles and application. • Understanding and application of lubricants and maintenance best practices. • Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, and engineering drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) is strongly preferred but not required. • Friction crane experience is a plus. • Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Availability to respond to call-out as assigned. Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in an indoor/outdoor pulley-conveyor environment at a shipping and logistics coal terminal. The position requires proficiency with hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, chain hoists, presses, metal saws, cranes, and rigging equipment. Knowledge of heavy equipment, including Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, and Manitowoc, is essential. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belle Chasse, LA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
