Role overview:
We're looking for a hands-on, multi-skilled Service Engineer to join our Field Service & After-Sales team. You'll carry out on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of our alkaline electrolyser stacks and systems, working across mechanical, electrical, and automation sub-systems. Beyond field work, you'll help shape our growing service operations: maintenance plans, spare-part planning, and standard procedures.

We work in an agile way and solve problems without unnecessary bureaucracy. You'll join the Service and Integration team, where you'll be responsible for commissioning and service delivery. You'll work closely with our Automation team, who are responsible for control system engineering. Your other regular contacts will be the Design, Process Engineering, Quality and HSE teams.
What does day-to-day look like in this role?
• Install, maintain, and repair electrolyser stacks and systems on customer sites; troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical, and automation sub-systems.
• Act as the on-site technical point of contact for customers throughout installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations.
• Coordinate service scheduling, logistics, and on-site preparation; contribute to building out maintenance plans and spare-part inventory planning.
• Maintain accurate service records and customer-facing documentation in coordination with engineering, quality, and HSE.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, including ATEX, PED, and hydrogen safety rules, and report concerns without delay.
• Feed field findings back into design so recurring issues get engineered out of future builds.
Must-have qualifications:
• Technical or higher education in automation, electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering, or a related industrial field.
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems, electrical infrastructure, and fluid or gas handling in a field or plant environment.
• Documented electrical competence relevant to the role.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
• Systematic troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation sub-systems.
• Customer-focused and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple assignments and communicate openly about progress.
• Readiness for regular travel and on-site work, and a valid driving license.
• Fluency in English.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
• ATEX protection training, lifting work certification, or other relevant technical field competences.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems.
• Experience in hydrogen-related projects or with processes involving gases, liquids, and pressure equipment.
• Familiarity with commissioning workflows and customer handover processes.
• Estonian or other additional languages.
