Job summary
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Cardiology based at Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust.
The post holder along with their fellow Consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Cardiology service to the Trust and the local community, a 24/7 cardiology On-Call service which requires a 1 in 6 commitment.
The post will also entail supporting the pacing and complex devise service at Dorset County Hospital.

Main duties of the job
This is a 12 month fixed term, full time (10 PA) post based at Dorset County Hospital.
The post holder, with their 6 Consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Cardiology service to the Trust and the local community and be part of the 24/7 cardiology On- Call service that requires a 1 in 6 week rota commitment.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications & Training Essential
Full GMC Registration Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed CCT due date must be within 6 months of interview) CESAR (within 6 months for completion) An appropriate higher surgical/medical qualification European Community Rights
Experience Essential
At least 7 years clinical experience in Cardiology at SHO and SPR level or equivalent Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH based Consultant Experience in a special interest that will complement those existing in the department Experience in the use of multiple PFA systems Independence in complex pacing including conduction system pacing
