The College of Public Health prepares students, scholars, human service providers, policy makers, and other professionals to improve the quality of life, health, and safety of diverse populations and to promote positive change in individuals, groups, communities, organizations and systems. 40% Reviews and processes purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and conformance with COPH & USF purchasing processes, policies and regulations. Identifies and recommends the most appropriate method to process requisition based on dollar amount, timeliness, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding. Implements and follows up on change orders, ensuring timely processing and internal review.
15% Assists with administration of P-Card program, including supporting COPH p-card holders through the purchasing process and serving as a reconciler in the USF P-card process.
15% Serves as a resource for the USF purchasing process. Trains on and interprets purchasing procedures and processes including purchasing software for departments. Provides support to COPH faculty and staff throughout the process, including reviewing quotes for compliance with USF policies. Resolves and answers questions regarding purchasing issues with departments and/or vendors.
15% Reconciles and processes invoices/requests for payments against requisitions. Researches status of invoices with Accounts Payable and vendors as needed.
10% Creates and maintains files of purchasing records, maintains lists of vendors and provides reports as needed to support the College’s purchasing need. Serves as a resource in establishing new vendors with USF.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent 1+ year of related experience Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed: (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree; (d) Seven years employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
