The opportunity Wilkins Financial Services is looking for an experienced Protection Adviser to join its established team in Tamworth. Working alongside Wilkins Estate Agents and the company’s mortgage advisers, you will receive a regular supply of customers requiring professional protection advice. The business expects to provide approximately seven to ten opportunities each week. This is a protection-only position, allowing you to focus on understanding customers’ circumstances, identifying their protection needs and recommending suitable solutions.
Key responsibilities
Providing suitable and compliant protection advice to new and existing customersContacting customers referred by mortgage advisers and estate agency teamsConducting comprehensive protection fact-finds and needs assessmentsAdvising on life insurance, critical illness cover and income protectionExplaining policy features, costs, benefits and exclusions clearlyPreparing suitable recommendations based on each customer’s circumstancesManaging applications from the initial consultation through underwriting to policy commencementLiaising with insurers and customers to progress applicationsFollowing up supplied opportunities promptly and professionallyMaintaining accurate customer and compliance recordsIdentifying opportunities for additional and future protection reviewsBuilding long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referralsDelivering an excellent customer experience throughout the advice process About you We would like to hear from candidates who: Have previous experience providing regulated protection adviceHold the relevant qualifications and permissions to advise on protection productsHave achieved the appropriate competent adviser statusPossess a strong understanding of life insurance, critical illness cover and income protectionAre confident converting estate agency and mortgage-related referralsCan discuss sensitive financial circumstances professionallyHave excellent communication and relationship-building skillsAre organised and capable of managing a busy pipelineDeliver consistently high standards of customer service and complianceAre comfortable working from the Tamworth officeWork effectively alongside mortgage advisers and estate agency colleagues This vacancy is for an experienced adviser and is not suitable for trainee applicants.
