About this role
Behavior Analyst (K-12) Permanent, full-time position available immediately. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analysis services and behavior management plans for both students receiving special education and students receiving supports through the Multi-tiered System of Supports (Tiers 2 and 3). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Create and assist District staff with the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments (FBA) for individual students
• Create and assist District staff with the development and implementation of behavior plans and strategies (PBSP, PBIP), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, and other appropriate programs for students that present behavioral/learning challenges
• Design, implement, and assist District staff with data collection systems, and assist in the interpretation of that data
• Develop and implement skills acquisition and social skills programs
• Provide direct services to individual students or groups of students who present complex and challenging behaviors
• Work with classroom teachers and instructional assistants to model effective behavioral and instructional programming
• Collaborate with members of the Evaluation/IEP team, District staff, and other related team members, individually, at IEP meetings, or in conference to exchange, discuss, and evaluate student information for planning and modifying individual student programs
• Participate in building-level leadership team meetings (pre-referral process)
• Develop materials/resources and provide training, professional development, and coaching to administrators, educators, and instructional assistants in evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with challenging behaviors
• Engage in activities relevant to problem behavior prevention and school-wide systems of supports
• Participate in required and other job-related professional development activities to improve or maintain certification/skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Hold current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Certification obtained through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB); and/or PA Special Education Certification
• Hold a current license for a Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania
• Maintain credentialing in compliance with the BACB
