Qualifications Certificates/Licenses:
?High school diploma or equivalent ?AA degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred ?Must be knowledgeable of community dynamics ?Must be in good health and physical condition ?No criminal record and able to maintain criminal free record ?Minimum of two years of relevant law enforcement or security experience ?Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other school employees, student and public ?Valid Drivers License ?Current First Aid & CPR ?Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Job Goal:
To provide support for continuous student learning and achievement through research based and data driven decision making practices as supported by the district mission and vision and “Embracing change for student learning” and WRUSD School Reform initiatives. Essential Duties: ?Complies with all policies and procedures of the Window Rock Unified School District. ?Work with Building level Administrators to practice monthly life saving drills. ?Establishes a working budget for the Security Department. ?Plans for future needs and growth of Security Department. ?Maintain personnel files on Security Department employees and performs annual evaluation on employees. ?Maintain control of Security equipment and inventory. ?Performs exterior and interior security checks of all school facilities, buildings and grounds of district property. ?Documents report on vandalism, safety hazards or suspicious activity to Superintendent. ?Plan and supervise security and traffic control for district and school functions. ?Maintain and checks the daily log and Security Incident Reports of security officers. ?Deliver confidential district documents as required. ?Work closely with school district, law enforcement personnel in emergency situations. ?Establish incident command during emergencies involving the District. ?Attends professional development activities to improve knowledge and tends on security issues. ?Provides In-service activities for security officers on new methods and information. ?Establishes the district duty schedule each month. ?Establishes daily maintenance schedules for district vehicles and ensure that vehicles are cleaned and washed. ?Write out requisitions, travel authorizations and establishes travel arrangements for security department. ?Maintains log of Security Officer Leave slips and determine that all shifts are covered. ?On call twenty-four hours a day to ensure the safety of district property, students and employees. ?Contact other law enforcement agencies to assist in covering school activities. ?Works with Director of Support Services and School Administrator to revise and maintain Emergency Management Plan annually or as needed. ?Provides presentations to school district communities about Safe Schools & Prevention programs. ?Work as a liaison between the community and school district's Safe School operations. ?Perform other duties as assigned.
