Job SummaryYou will serve as an ELECTRONICS (ELECTRICAL) ENGINEER within the F18 Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) demonstrating knowledge of Avionics/Electrical in-service fleet support and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) 2) managing engineering resources to plan and coordinate technical teams and/or projects 3) analyzing F18 avionics/electrical related issues and drafting in-service engineering technical products. Major DutiesYou will manage engineering workload, plan, coordinate, conduct and provide extensive in-service engineering expertise while leading a wide array of complex Avionics and Electrical engineering projects.You will lead a team of individuals to identify, plan, evaluate and prescribe corrective action for avionics systems, electrical propulsion and power systems, support equipment, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and/or Test Program Set (TPS).You will identify continually changing and competing demands and take appropriate planning action to ensure all demands are satisfied.You will coordinate technical research of the most serious and complex avionics engineering issues, which usually requires many technical fields and engineering/scientific disciplines.You will apply a thorough knowledge of a variety of standard guides, precedents, methods, techniques, and practices as well as innovative processes in order to provide team guidance in resolving electronic or in-service engineering problems.You will lead, coordinate and/or participate in meetings and conferences convened to discuss avionics and electrical engineering issues, problems, design, development of new and/or upgraded avionics systems, and other similar matters.You will provide technical professional expertise and oversight to ensure the latest advancements in engineering technology are considered and implemented in work planning.You will lead assigned team to assure products /services are delivered on schedule, within budgeted cost and in accordance with technical requirements.You will work with IPT Leaders and/or Project Manager Leads to determine team resources required to provide products and services to the customer, including funding, personnel resources, facilities and projected requirements for new projects.
