Job SummaryYou will serve as an AIRCRAFT WEIGHT & BALANCE SPECIALIST in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Perform aircraft weight and balance functions on fixed- and/or rotary-wing aircraft, including aircraft weighing, jacking, fuel measurement, weight computations, load and center-of-gravity determinations, and maintenance of required weight-and-balance records. Read and interpret, and apply applicable technical directives, Chart "E" requirements, technical orders, safety procedures, and production documentation; possess working knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, components, aerodynamics, and aircraft handling procedures; and perform mathematical calculations accurately. Identify and communicate weight-and-balance discrepancies, coordinate with engineers and associate trades on configuration changes and modifications, and prepare or deliver weight-and-balance training to fleet and depot personnel. Major DutiesYou will ensure all documented work is accomplished, certified, and verified in accordance with certification program of the facility.You will ensure defects/discrepancies discovered are brought to the attention of personnel authorized to annotate records/reports for correction.You will coordinate with associated trades to complete all documented work on schedule.You will be responsible for good housekeeping and safety regulation, especially around fueled aircraft and oxygen systems.
