QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Demonstrated work experience that include the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position to be filled. 2. Possess specialized knowledge of automotive mechanical systems, to include repair and maintenance. 3. Work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Possess or have you ever possessed an Automotive Certification (ex. Military maintenance or ASE or NAPA Tech and/or equivalent German certs). 2. Possess experience managing hazardous materials and environmental compliance in an industrial or shop setting. 3. Possess prior NAF/MWR experience and knowledge of military community recreation programs -OR- Possess a minimum of one (1) year of management experience specifically related to automotive shop, a self-service garage, or a military Auto Skills Center NOTE: Your answers of 'Yes' MUST be supported by your resume/application package or supporting documents (e.g. certificate) have to be uploaded with your application. If your answers cannot be verified, you will not be considered best qualified. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. Management has initially request a list of applicants that meet 2 out of 3 criteria's. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Major DutiesServes as the Installation Automotive Crafts Facility Manager with responsibility for operation and implementation of activities in a diversified self help automotive maintenance facility.Provides technical knowledge in automotive maintenance and repair. Analyzes major trends and projects potential changes in program emphasis.Plans and develops shop activities of the Auto Crafts Program.Develops SOPs. Submits budgetary requirements for both NAF and APF for equipment and supplies and labor. Performs vehicle maintenance on NAF vehicles.
