Major DutiesYou will test air in enclosed and hazardous spaces to detect low oxygen, flammable gases, and toxic substances before and during work.You will inspect work areas for residue, scale, or other materials that could create fire, explosion, or health hazards.You will determine when ventilation or other controls are needed to keep air conditions safe during cleaning, painting, hot work, and similar tasks.You will use, check, and troubleshoot gas monitoring and test equipment to ensure accurate readings and reliable operation.You will stop work, clear personnel from unsafe spaces, mark hazardous areas, and notify others when dangerous conditions are found.You will record test results, explain safety requirements on site, and help others follow proper procedures for safe work.
