Job Title: Skilled Laborer / Finish Carpenter Film Trailer ManufacturingJob DescriptionThis role focuses on interior finish carpentry and skilled labor within a film trailer manufacturing facility in Chilliwack, BC. You will install cabinets, flooring, appliances, and interior walls while delivering high-quality finishes that meet precise standards. • Install cabinets and related fixtures with a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship. • Perform general finish work, including backsplashes, trim, and crown molding, to achieve a clean, professional appearance. • Install baseboards and other finishing elements to complete interior spaces. • Install appliances safely and correctly within custom trailer interiors. • Install vinyl flooring, ensuring proper measurements, cuts, and fit for a durable, attractive finish. • Build and install interior walls within trailers, following specifications and measurements. • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures and squares to complete tasks accurately. • Follow drawings, measurements, and instructions to ensure each trailer meets quality and design standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to required specifications. • Bring, use, and maintain personal tools required for finish carpentry and related tasks. • Apply strong attention to detail to ensure consistent, high-quality workmanship across all assignments. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools in a construction, carpentry, or similar environment. • At least 1 year of experience in carpentry, finish carpentry, joinery, or cabinetry. • Proficiency in using hand tools, including basic carpentry tools and measuring tools such as tape measures and squares. • Proficiency in using power tools, including drills and impacts, in a safe and efficient manner. • Demonstrated finish carpentry skills, including trim work, cabinetry, and detailed finishing tasks. • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, precise, and consistent finishes. • Ability to read and follow measurements accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment. • Good English communication skills to understand instructions and collaborate effectively with the team. • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including standing, lifting, and working with tools throughout the shift. • Ability to bring and use personal tools required for finish carpentry, including drill, impact, tape measure, square, and knife. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with laminating wood is an asset. • Experience working with countertops is an asset. • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments is beneficial. • Comfort working with a variety of materials used in cabinetry, flooring, and interior finishing. • Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in cross-training opportunities. The temperature can be hot in the summer and colder in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in varying conditions. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday on a first shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with overtime available once you are fully trained and have demonstrated strong performance. You will work with a variety of construction and carpentry tools, including hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools, and are expected to bring your own drill, impact, tape measure, square, and knife. The dress code includes safety-toe work boots, long pants, and a T-shirt, suitable for a hands-on, shop-floor environment. The facility supports ongoing production with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safe, efficient operations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chilliwack, BC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
