Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role involves assembling aluminum composite panels used on the exterior of commercial buildings. You will start by working closely with an assembly lead who will lay out your daily work until you can independently set up and complete jobs. You will use basic hand and power tools, follow measurements, and assist in routing large panel sheets to precise specifications. This is a hands-on, physical position in a clean, climate-controlled production environment.Responsibilities
• Work with an assembly lead to learn daily tasks, job layout, and production processes until able to perform independently. • Assemble aluminum composite panels using basic hand tools such as pop rivet tools and hand drills. • Use a tape measure and, as needed, micrometers to verify measurements and ensure panels meet required specifications. • Fold, rivet, and secure excursions and other components onto panel products according to instructions and blueprints. • Handle and route full sheets of aluminum composite material (ACM), cutting and routing panels to specified dimensions for assembly. • Lift and maneuver large sheets of material, including panels up to approximately 16 feet by 4.5 feet, as part of the production process. • Follow production and assembly line procedures to meet daily and monthly panel output targets. • Read and interpret basic blueprints or production drawings to understand layout, measurements, and assembly requirements. • Use hand tools, power tools, and general production equipment safely and correctly in a manufacturing environment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility safety and housekeeping guidelines. • Collaborate with team members and leads to complete jobs on time and support overall production goals. • Adapt to varying tasks within assembly and routing as needed, including staying late or starting earlier when required to meet production demands. Essential Skills
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as pop rivet tools and hand drills. • Ability to use a tape measure accurately to follow and verify measurements. • Willingness and ability to learn how to use micrometers; all measurement tools are trainable on the job. • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle large panels measuring approximately 16 feet by 4.5 feet. • Comfort working in a physical, hands-on production and assembly role. • Experience or aptitude in assembly, production, manufacturing, or general labor environments. • Ability to follow instructions from an assembly lead and transition to working independently. • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints or production drawings, or willingness to learn. • Commitment to safe use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. • Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and completing a full 40-hour workweek. The workplace is clean and climate controlled, including air conditioning in the summer, providing a comfortable environment for physical work. The facility has roughly 110 employees, offering a mid-sized team atmosphere. Standard hours are on first shift, typically 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility to start around 6:00 a.m. if needed. Weekend work is minimal, and there is opportunity to stay late or come in earlier when production requires it. Dress code includes jeans or shorts, T-shirts, and steel-toe footwear to support safety and comfort on the production floor. You will work with hand tools, power tools, routing tables, and other manufacturing equipment to fabricate and assemble panels, all within a structured yet supportive production environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anamosa, IA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
