Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing large mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of cases used to power headsets, using hand and power tools to build harnesses and related components. You follow assembly blueprints and work instructions, test and inspect products for quality, and support production and service activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. The position requires flexibility to switch between different tasks on a daily basis while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.Responsibilities
• Test, inspect, and assemble products to meet established quality, service, and productivity standards. • Perform large mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of cases and related components used in communication headsets. • Use hand and power tools to build harnesses and complete electronic and mechanical subassemblies. • Rework and perform complex modifications on a wide range of products to meet specific customer requirements. • Assist the service team by troubleshooting and repairing products returned by customers in accordance with quality standards. • Train team members on work procedures and best practices to support consistent quality and performance. • Pull parts, restock parts, maintain floor stock, and accurately record inventory transactions to support production and repair activities. • Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices in the production and repair areas to ensure a safe and organized work environment. • Read and follow assembly blueprints, work instructions, and other documentation in English. • Adapt to a fast-paced production environment and switch between different assembly and support tasks as needed. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 2 years of general electro-mechanical assembly experience in a production or production line environment. • Strong manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing detailed mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly work. • Experience using common hand tools and power tools in an assembly or manufacturing setting. • Ability to read and understand assembly blueprints, work instructions, and related documentation in English. • Capability to perform electronic assembly tasks, including basic soldering and use of electronic assembly tools. • Ability to stand for extended periods of time while working on the production floor. • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between different tasks on a daily basis. • Basic ability to learn and use electrical test equipment to support product testing and troubleshooting. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards in assembly and repair work. • Experience in mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly in a small electronics manufacturing environment. • Familiarity with soldering techniques and electronic components. • Experience working from blueprints, diagrams, or detailed assembly instructions. • Comfort working in tighter quarters and in a group setting on a production line. • Strong organizational skills for managing parts, floor stock, and inventory transactions. • Ability to train and support team members on work procedures and quality standards. • Understanding of basic safety and housekeeping practices in a manufacturing environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
