The successful candidate will be involved in the safe operation of heavy machinery while contributing to the efficient day-to-day running of the quarry. Key Responsibilities •Safely operate heavy plant and machinery, including excavators, loading shovels, haul trucks, and mobile crushing and screening equipment. •Monitor, load, and adjust processing equipment used in the production of aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and agricultural lime. •Assist with the loading and dispatch of company and customer trucks, trailers, and low loaders. •Conduct daily pre-start inspections of machinery and equipment. •Perform routine greasing, lubrication, and basic maintenance tasks. •Report mechanical defects and equipment issues promptly. •Adhere to all health and safety regulations, site procedures, and PPE requirements. •Support the efficient production and movement of materials throughout the quarry operation. Requirements •Existing right to work in Ireland. •Minimum 1-2 years' experience operating heavy plant machinery within a quarry, sand and gravel pit, construction, or civil engineering environment. •Valid EU or Irish driving licence. •CSCS certification for relevant machinery such as 360 Excavator or Loading Shovel is highly desirable. •Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions. •Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties when required. •Good spatial awareness and a strong focus on safety. •Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues. •Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills. •Good level of spoken and written English.
