Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Service. Repair. Willing to relocate. Machine set-up. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Construct foundations for machinery. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Supervise other workers. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Installing machinery and equipment. Commission systems and components. Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams. Fit and assemble components using hand and power tools. Equipment and machinery experience: Electrical and electronic controls. Power tools. Power transmission system. Pumps and compressors. Inspection or testing specialization: Electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
