About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Set up machines and equipment. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers .
