Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dry pea and bean farming. Oilseed (except soybean) farming. Other grain farming. Wheat farming. Dusty. Noisy. Outdoors. Harvest crops. Tasks: Coordinate planting and cultivating activities. Implement soil fertility programs. Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Manage overall operation of farm. Perform general farm duties. Manage staff and assign duties. Supervision: 5-10 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Bulk handling system. Fertilizer applicator. Harvesters. Seed drill. Sprayer or duster. Storage and silage system. Tractor. Truck. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Large workload. Physically demanding.
