Biotech Manufacturing Technician - 1st & 2nd Shift Openings - $22/HR - $24/HRJob DescriptionJoin our innovative team as a Cleanroom Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of kitting, filling, and packaging processes. You will be responsible for preparing manufactured cartridges for shipment in a temperature-controlled setting to customers both domestically and internationally.Responsibilities
• Perform kitting assembly operations and prepare cartridges for shipment. • Conduct filling operations, ensuring the flow cell contains the correct product as per work instructions housed in a cloud-based application. • Operate process equipment such as balances, pneumatic presses, pumps, and heat sealers. • Execute heat sealing processes with precision to prevent rejects and maintain manufacturing yield. • Align flow cells correctly for labeling, ensuring QR codes, lot numbers, and batch record information are accurately read. • Cut excess foil from sealed products using specified machines. • Engage in simple bulk formulations as needed. Essential Skills
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. • Proficiency in assembly, cleanroom procedures, and packaging. • Team player mindset with strong communication skills. • Ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Teams effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Comfortable leading a fill and pack line. • Willingness to learn or proficiency in small volume aliquoting (less than 1mL). • Familiarity with laboratory and inspection processes. • Experience with batch records, labeling, filling, and visual inspection. Initial training will take place from 9am to 5pm during the first week. You will be provided with lab coats, shoe covers, hair nets, and safety glasses as needed. Positions are divided between the kitting and filling departments, with potential relocation to the manufacturing site in San Diego, CA. Please be aware of the commute requirements starting in October. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
