Job Title: Mechanical Installer - Solar ProjectJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Mechanical Installer on a large-scale solar project. You will be part of one of three dedicated crews: Pile Install, Racking Install, or Module Install, each responsible for crucial functions in the construction and installation process. Responsibilities • For Pile Install: Assist in unloading trucks for piles or retrieving piles from the laydown yard, help with layout and installation of piles, work with operators to drive piles to GPS locations, use tape measures to ensure correct pile heights, lift and carry piles to designated locations, and walk the 3000-acre farm for pile installation. • For Racking Crew: Work with operators to unload trucks with mechanical or racking equipment, gather and deliver materials to work locations, gather nuts and bolts for racking installation, read blueprints or collaborate with foremen for proper installation, use power drills and hand tools for torquing racks, measure distances between racks, perform spot quality control checks, and walk the farm to install racking systems. • For Module Install: Assist operators in unloading and placing modules in the laydown yard, help move modules to work stations, repeatedly lift 25-30 lbs during module installation, place bolts or screws to secure modules, use power drills and hand tools for module installation, and maintain a fast pace to meet production schedules. Essential Skills • Minimum of 1 year experience in construction. • Minimum of 1 year experience in outdoor work. • Experience in truck unloading, staging, and inventory management. • Ability to repeatedly lift 25+ lbs. • Minimum of 1 year experience with power and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in general labor, construction, installation, electrical work, solar installation, and cable pulling. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
