Job Title: General Laborer Concrete ProductionJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting large-scale concrete slab production through hands-on work in an outdoor environment. You will set up concrete forms and rebar, assist with pouring and curing processes, operate a variety of tools, and move finished products around the production yard. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.Responsibilities
• Set up concrete forms and rebar for large concrete slabs according to specifications and safety standards. • Pour concrete into prepared forms, ensuring proper placement, leveling, and finishing. • Perform visual inspections of concrete products before and after the curing process to identify defects or quality issues. • Use a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to support concrete production and related tasks. • Load and unload concrete products and materials to and from different stations around the production yard. • Perform heavy lifting of products up to 70 lbs as needed throughout the shift. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general cleaning tasks in the production yard. • Measure materials and verify dimensions using tape measures and other basic measuring tools. • Support carpentry-related tasks associated with form building and concrete work. • Lead small groups or work areas as needed, providing direction and support to team members. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and materials. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of construction or concrete experience. • Hands-on experience with concrete work, including forms, rebar, and slab production. • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a physically demanding environment. • Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and basic carpentry tools. • Experience operating power tools and pneumatic tools safely and effectively. • Ability to read and use tape measures and perform basic measurements accurately. • Capability to lift and move heavy materials and products up to 70 lbs on a regular basis. • Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of concrete products before and after curing. • Reliability in working scheduled shifts and possible overtime. • Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions. • Experience in general construction labor or production environments. • Experience in carpentry related to building and setting forms for concrete. • Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas. • Ability to lead small teams or work areas and coordinate tasks as needed. • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new processes and techniques. • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices in construction or production settings. All work takes place outdoors in the production yard, in all seasons and weather conditions, including rain or shine. Team members must dress appropriately for the weather, using suitable outdoor work attire to stay comfortable and safe throughout the day. The environment is physically demanding and fast-paced, involving regular heavy lifting, movement of materials, and use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
