Job Title: Construction LaborerJob DescriptionThis role involves working on commercial construction projects with a focus on waterproofing concrete foundations. You will work as part of a small crew, supporting various physical tasks on site and contributing to the overall quality and safety of each project.Responsibilities
• Assist with waterproofing concrete foundations on commercial construction projects. • Work as part of a crew of 13 people to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently. • Move waterproofing materials from the shop and staging areas to the worksite. • Dig holes and trenches as needed for foundation and waterproofing work. • Move and level dirt around foundations and work areas. • Support other crew members with general labor tasks throughout the jobsite. • Use hand tools such as tape measures, utility knives, pouches, and hammers to complete assigned tasks. • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment at all times. • Maintain good attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts. • Travel with the crew from the shop to various jobsites as needed. Essential Skills
• At least 6 months of construction experience, including exposure to outdoor jobsite conditions. • Ability to perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials on a construction site. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. • Capability to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis. • Comfort working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. • Consistent and reliable attendance, supported by prior work history. You will work in a variety of weather conditions and should be comfortable with changing environments. Typical hours are from 6:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each day begins at the shop, where you will meet the crew and ride in a company truck to the jobsite. Efforts are made to keep work in the Madison area, but some travel to other locations may be required. Crew sizes typically range from 1 to 3 people, creating a close-knit team setting. The dress code includes leather boots and high-visibility shirts, while hard hats and safety glasses are provided. Common tools used on the job include tape measures, utility knives, pouches, and hammers. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
