Job Title: Commercial Carpenter / Rough Carpenter Pay: Up to $28/hr, depending on experienceShift: 1st ShiftSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per weekJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Rough Carpenter to work on an active hospital construction project. Candidates must have previous experience working in a healthcare/hospital construction environment and understand the additional requirements of working around an active healthcare facility.Must have at least 3 years of carpentry experience AND previous healthcare construction experience.Responsibilities:
• Perform rough carpentry and general construction work. • Complete framing, blocking, backing, and other carpentry-related tasks. • Read and work from blueprints and construction drawings. • Safely use hand and power tools. • Assist with demolition, installation, and other construction tasks. • Operate scissor lifts, lulls, and other equipment when qualified. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Follow all jobsite and hospital safety requirements. • Work around other trades and subcontractors in an active hospital environment. Requirements
• At least 3 years of carpentry experience required. • Previous healthcare/hospital construction experience REQUIRED. • Rough or commercial carpentry experience. • Ability to read and understand blueprints. • Must have necessary PPE and basic hand/power tools. • OSHA 10 certification required. • Comfortable working in an active hospital construction environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merritt Island, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
