Job Title: Night Shift Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role supports electronic production manufacturing on night shifts in a light industrial, general assembly environment. You will perform routine production tasks such as testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging to help meet customer deadlines and production goals. Responsibilities • Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines and production goals are met. • Perform testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging tasks according to detailed work instructions. • Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards, seeking approval for any deviations. • Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks accurately and efficiently. • Work on routine assignments that require limited judgment, following clear instructions and close supervision. • Use hand tools and follow blueprints or work instructions to complete electronic assembly tasks, including through-hole or surface mount soldering when applicable. • Meet individual throughput and productivity goals while maintaining high quality and minimizing scrap or rework. • Monitor your own work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer specifications, and escalate issues to supervisors when needed. • Accurately document work as required using basic computer programs, including simple navigation, basic Excel for documentation, and Outlook for communication. • Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and decisions, and support improvement initiatives such as 5S and other productivity or efficiency enhancements. • Look for opportunities to improve work processes, quality, and efficiency, and contribute ideas to reduce waste. • Work cooperatively within a team and cross-functional teams, openly sharing information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers. • Maintain a calm and level temperament in a fast-paced or stressful environment while meeting production metrics. • Demonstrate a great attitude, flexibility, and willingness to help in other departments as needed. • Take on additional assignments when requested and apply new work requirements with minimal supervision once trained. • Stay current on all required certifications and training for the role. • Use time effectively to manage workload and tasks, consistently completing assignments on time without compromising quality. • Follow all quality policy guidelines and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements. • Lift components up to approximately 1015 pounds and perform repetitive assembly tasks, such as connecting hose-like components by hand. • Sit and/or stand during the 1012 hour night shift as needed, understanding that standing will be required for portions of the shift. Essential Skills • Previous electronic manufacturing experience, including either through-hole or surface mount soldering, is preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools in a production environment. • Basic computer skills, including navigating simple programs, using basic Excel for documentation, and Outlook for communication. • Ability to read and follow blueprints or detailed work instructions for electronic assembly tasks. • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team and cross-functional teams. • Ability to adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and decisions in the work environment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards and customer specifications. • Ability to meet individual throughput and productivity goals while maintaining quality. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently once trained, as well as collaboratively with others. • Ability to maintain a level temperament in a stressful or fast-paced environment. • Willingness to be flexible, help in other departments, and take on additional assignments. • Physical ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to approximately 1015 pounds. • High School diploma or equivalent GED is preferred. • One or more years of related production, manufacturing, or electronic assembly experience is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in electronic assembly, general production, or light industrial manufacturing. • Background in retail, fast food/food services, or other manufacturing fields can be a good foundation for success in this role. • Experience using hand tools and following blueprints or schematics. • Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and workplace organization methods such as 5S. • Comfort working with metrics and production goals, including tracking throughput and meeting daily targets. • Ability to learn and feel comfortable completing different tasks on a frequent basis as production needs change. • Demonstrated habit of using time effectively to manage workload and complete assignments on time. • Experience working under close supervision and following detailed instructions in a structured environment. • Willingness to share information and knowledge with co-workers to support team performance. • Interest in progressing and building a long-term career in electronics or manufacturing. • Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and positive attitude are encouraged to apply. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. The facility employs hundreds of permanent staff, offering a structured, professional setting focused on electronic production. Work is light industrial/general assembly, with typical lifting limited to approximately 1015 pounds and repetitive hand-assembly tasks similar to connecting hose-like components. Night shifts are available on B Shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) and D Shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). Employees may sit or stand during the 1012 hour shift, but standing is required for portions of the work. The environment emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to established procedures, with the use of basic computer systems for documentation and communication and standard production tools and equipment for electronic assembly. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
