Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues involving wiring, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics, while ensuring all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and equipment specifications.Responsibilities
• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment in accordance with electrical codes, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints. • Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, and related components. • Repair, rebuild, and set up assembly equipment that includes hydraulic and pneumatic systems, controls, and associated hand tools. • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using appropriate testing instruments and diagnostic tools. • Test continuity of circuits to verify compatibility and safety of components using electrical testing instruments. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threaders, and conduit benders. • Respond promptly to maintenance calls and service requests to minimize equipment downtime. • Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machinery, and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation. • Operate tools, machinery, and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures and best practices. • Verify that all equipment is maintained in safe operating condition and report any unsafe conditions immediately. • Apply a strong systematic approach to problem solving and troubleshooting of production and facility equipment. • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and document work performed as required. • Use basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, to access documentation, record maintenance activities, and communicate with team members. • Promote and adhere to OSHA regulations and site safety policies in all maintenance activities. • Handle multiple tasks effectively, meet required deadlines, and contribute to holding the team accountable for maintenance and safety standards. Essential Skills
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a high-paced manufacturing environment in a maintenance or machine repair role. • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Hands-on experience with maintenance technician duties, including equipment repair and preventive maintenance. • Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and operating principles of motors. • Knowledge of local electrical codes and ability to apply them in daily work. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to maintenance and repair tasks. • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems in machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Strong, systematic approach to problem solving and equipment troubleshooting. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. • Ability to support and hold team members accountable for maintenance standards and safety practices. • Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to promoting safety in the workplace. • Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and working with PLCs. • Experience with Fanuc robotics or similar industrial robotics systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge and ability to perform machine repair tasks involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing. • Familiarity with CNC equipment and industrial control panels. • Experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing setting. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with production and maintenance teams. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Jackson, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $63960.00 - $63960.00/yr.
