Job Title: Visual InspectorJob DescriptionThe Visual Inspector performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections of medical devices and electro-mechanical assemblies, using precision measurement tools and documented quality procedures. This role ensures products meet strict quality standards by interpreting blueprints, performing quality checks, and accurately entering inspection data into ERP and quality management systems. Responsibilities • Perform thorough visual inspections of medical devices and electro-mechanical assemblies to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards. • Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and multimeters to conduct dimensional and functional checks on components and finished products. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand product requirements and inspection criteria. • Carry out quality control and quality inspection activities in accordance with documented quality systems, such as ISO 9001 procedures. • Conduct visual inspection and quality checks in clean room and bench assembly environments, following all applicable protocols. • Record inspection results and quality data accurately in ERP and quality management systems. • Identify nonconforming products, document findings, and follow established processes for escalation and disposition. • Maintain inspection tools, measuring equipment, and work areas in clean and organized condition. • Collaborate with production and quality teams to support continuous adherence to quality standards. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience performing visual inspection and quality checks on manufactured products or assemblies. • Proficiency using inspection tools and measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and multimeters. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for inspection purposes. • Experience working within a documented quality system, preferably ISO 9001. • Capability to enter and manage inspection data in ERP or quality management systems. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and nonconformances. • Solid understanding of basic quality control principles and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Basic understanding of electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus. • Familiarity with medical device inspection and related regulatory expectations is beneficial. • Comfort working with ERP systems and quality management software. • Ability to work accurately in clean room and bench assembly environments. • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow documented procedures consistently. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
