Job Title: Warehouse Worker First ShiftJob DescriptionYou will support day-to-day warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, receiving, and storing products in a clean, climate-controlled, brand-new facility. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently during first shift hours.Responsibilities
• Pick products accurately from designated locations using RF scanners and other warehouse tools. • Pack orders securely and efficiently to ensure products arrive in excellent condition. • Unload trucks and transfer incoming materials to appropriate areas within the warehouse. • Put product away in designated locations, maintaining organized and clearly labeled inventory. • Handle materials using pallet jacks and other non-forklift equipment as required. • Assist with receiving activities, including verifying shipments and updating inventory records. • Support shipping operations by preparing orders for dispatch and staging them correctly. • Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe work environment. • Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards throughout the shift. • Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals. Essential Skills
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in warehouse picking and packing or similar warehouse work. • Hands-on experience with order picking and packing in a production or distribution environment. • Ability to use RF scanners for locating, picking, and tracking inventory. • Experience with basic material handling tasks, including moving and staging products. • Ability to operate pallet jacks safely and effectively. • Understanding of basic shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting. • Capability to perform physically active work, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. • Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality for first shift hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a warehouse temp role or seasonal warehouse position. • Comfort working in a structured environment with defined productivity and accuracy targets. • Strong attention to detail when picking, packing, and labeling orders. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. • Willingness to work overtime, including occasional 12-hour days when business needs require. • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist in different areas of the warehouse as needed. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a brand-new warehouse facility that opened in December 2023 and is fully climate controlled, providing a clean and comfortable work setting. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on first shift. Overtime is available, and team members can work up to 50 hours per week if desired. Work is hands-on and physical, involving standing, walking, and material handling throughout the day, using RF scanners and pallet jacks rather than forklifts. The environment is organized and safety-focused, with clear procedures to guide daily operations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
