Job Title: Mechanical Installation TechniciansJob DescriptionThis role involves assembling and installing multiple conveyor lines and a mezzanine at a facility. • 3+ years of experience in conveyor installation, construction labor, millwright, welding, or similar mechanical fields. • Proficiency with hand and power tools. • Experience in heavy-duty or industrial construction environments. • Capability to work at heights. • Mechanical inclination. • Experience with forklifts and scissor lifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Mechanical inclination and assembly experience with conveyors or similar structures. • Comfortable working on a construction site. • Commitment to safety practices. • Forklift and aerial work platform (AWP) experience (boom or scissor) is a strong asset. • Scissor lift certification is required before starting. • Forklift license is needed for 1 in every 3 workers. Exceptional performance may lead to permanent positions or transitions to new projects.Work EnvironmentWork at an Amazon facility with a schedule from 06:30AM to 4:30PM , Monday to Saturday, with potential for additional hours. The role may require working up to 60 hours per week, including five 12-hour shifts. Work may involve operating on platforms and scissor lifts, and some roles require forklift operation. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, and workers must bring their own tools as listed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
