Job Title: Conveyor MechanicJob DescriptionAs a Conveyor Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing both minor and major repairs on all material handling equipment, including AutoStore systems. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting procedures on conveyor systems and other mechanical equipment regularly, ensuring optimal performance.Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and mechanical equipment. • Inspect belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, grease bearings, seals, and repair or replace broken parts. • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems. • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records. • Comply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements and maintain required HAZMAT records. • Respond professionally and timely to management and internal customer inquiries and resolve facility operational issues. • Operate a computer to control and monitor mechanical equipment and utility systems as needed. • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. • Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; order parts as needed. • Make recommendations to improve maintenance programs or ideas. • Operate powered lift equipment and support equipment lockout/tagout. • Perform other duties as assigned, including outside custodial duties such as snow removal. Essential Skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent. • 2-6 years of maintenance experience. • Experience with hand and power tools. • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and maintain Lift Operator Certification with OSHA guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Excellent organization skills, self-motivation, and initiative. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Responsive to staff needs and courteous. • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations and interpreting drawings and schematics. • Regular and prompt attendance with overtime as required, including weekends. The environment is moderate in noise level and fast-paced, with proximity to conveyor systems and moving parts. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Ashland, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
