Job Title: Repair and Overhaul TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Repair and Overhaul Technician performs detailed electro-mechanical repair, assembly, and testing of components to meet strict customer and quality requirements. This role focuses on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, precision repair techniques, and adherence to acceptance test procedures and routing procedures to ensure all products meet performance and reliability standards. The technician works with circuits, soldering, adhesive bonding, and blueprint interpretation while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed. Responsibilities • Perform electro-mechanical repairs on components, including circuits, soldering, adhesive bonding, protecting, wrapping, packaging, winding, trimming, joining, cleaning, foaming, crimping, sanding, electrical measuring, and weighing to meet customer requirements. • Follow acceptance test procedures and routing procedures rigorously, repeating tests and repairs until all products meet required specifications. • Position and assemble parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all assemblies. • Interpret and work from blueprints and technical documentation to perform repairs, assemblies, and inspections correctly. • Repair nonconforming products by identifying root causes, performing appropriate corrective actions, and verifying that repairs meet standards. • Deburr, grind, and buff parts to achieve required finishes and ensure parts meet dimensional and cosmetic specifications. • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required for repair, overhaul, and maintenance activities. • Inspect all parts and assemblies for cleanliness and proper condition before and after repair or assembly. • Use electrical measuring equipment and tools to test components and verify performance against established criteria. • Record time accurately on labor sheets for each process performed on repaired products to support traceability and production reporting. • Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for tools, equipment, and materials. • Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor or lead instructions to meet production schedules and quality targets. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience with electronics repair, including circuits and soldering. • Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical systems. • Ability to perform precise mechanical repair tasks such as grinding, buffing, deburring, crimping, sanding, and adhesive bonding. • Proficiency in interpreting and working from blueprints, special instructions, and routings. • Capability to use electrical measuring instruments to test and verify component performance. • Attention to detail in inspecting parts for cleanliness, proper assembly, and overall quality. • Ability to follow detailed acceptance test procedures and routing procedures consistently. • Strong manual dexterity and comfort working with small parts and tools. • Reliable documentation skills, including accurately recording time and processes on labor sheets. • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in electro-mechanical repair or overhaul environments. • Background in electronics, electrical, or mechanical fields through prior work or training. • Familiarity with adhesive bonding, foaming, wrapping, and packaging techniques in a production or repair setting. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet repair and production deadlines. • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to identifying and correcting nonconforming products. • Comfort with repetitive testing and repair processes to ensure components meet stringent acceptance criteria. • Good communication skills for reporting issues, documenting work, and coordinating with colleagues. Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, onsite role with a regular schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work takes place in a repair and overhaul facility focused on electro-mechanical components, where you will use tools and equipment such as soldering tools, grinding and buffing equipment, deburring tools, electrical measuring instruments, and various hand tools for assembly and disassembly. The environment is production-oriented and detail-driven, with an emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety procedures. You should expect to stand, move, and work with your hands for extended periods while handling parts and materials in a shop or lab-style setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
