Job Title: 2nd Shift Shipping ClerkJob DescriptionThe 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by accurately moving, tracking, and organizing materials within an air-conditioned, modern production facility. This position focuses on material movement in the system, inventory control, and production support to ensure that manufacturing schedules are met and production runs smoothly and without interruption. Responsibilities • Move materials accurately within the system to support production and inventory processes. • Supply production lines with the materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and maintain uninterrupted production. • Assist with inventory control by performing cycle counts and documenting material locations and quantities. • Report inventory discrepancies and issues to the supervisor in a timely and accurate manner. • Properly label and store materials in assigned locations to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility. • Use an RF scanner to track materials moving in and out of inventory and to record where items are stored in the warehouse. • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of stored materials, including items that are low in stock, to help ensure adequate product availability. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support production, logistics, and inventory needs. • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to ensure clear handoffs and documentation across shifts. Essential Skills • Experience with material handling in a manufacturing warehouse environment, including manual movement, storage, and tracking of materials. • Proficiency using an RF scanner to track materials entering and leaving inventory and to record storage locations. • Strong ability to document and track material locations, quantities, and stock levels to support accurate inventory control. • Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory and material tracking; experience with EPICOR is a plus. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with production and other teams. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands. • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility that utilizes industry 4.0 technology and advanced systems for material tracking and inventory management. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with operations also supported by a day shift from Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and focused on continuous improvement, with electric charging stations available on-site and a culture that encourages collaboration, adaptability, and innovation. Dress code aligns with typical manufacturing and warehouse standards, emphasizing safety and practicality while working around production equipment and materials. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
